Steering Group - Sean O'Conaill

For thirty years a teacher of secular history and current affairs in a Catholic Grammar school. Orthodox RC but alienated from the unaccountable clericalism that disfigures the Irish Catholic church. He writes frequently for Irish Catholic journals. His book 'Scattering the Proud' (1999) outlines a view of Jesus as undermining the pyramids of esteem that arise out of human vanity in all eras. Now active in forwarding 'Voice of the Faithful' - a lay RC movement in support of victims of clerical sex abuse, of clergy of integrity, and of structural reform in the church.
